Ukraine: Domestic malt production climbed to 349,300 t in 11 months of 2005/06 FY

Ukrainian malting companies produced 33,800 t of malt in May 2006, which practically reiterates previous month level of malt production and which accordingly rose by 6,200 t (22%) year-on-year, The Union of Russian Brewers communicated June 30.

Malt production carryover contracted by 16% to 56,200 t in May in comparison to April 2006. During the first 11 months of the 2005/06 FY, domestic malt production reached 349,300 t against 277,600 t year-on-year.
